Meet Jena Plummer

LCMHC, LCAS, QS, ADHD-CCSP, CCTS-I
SHE/HER

I’m Jena Plummer and I am the owner of Little Seed Counseling. As a person, I show up to my office with an understanding of my own humanness. I have my own counselor because I believe in the value (and sometimes magic) of counseling. I find healing in artwork, writing, music, and creating. I named my child after a Phish song. I reload the dishwasher after my family loads it up the first time. I am perfectly imperfect, and I want to help you embrace and make friends with that part of yourself, too.

MY SPECIALTIES

Areas of Expertise

As a counselor & clinical supervisor, I provide a balance of structure, goal setting and deep emotional work to those I work with. I am not a run-of-the-mill general counselor and I have built my practice from that same framework. Our clinicians train in specialty areas because we believe our clients deserve to have affirming therapy. While I am not currently taking on new clients, please know that through the supervision and training of our clinicians I will have an influence on the care you receive. When you work with a member of the Little Seed team, know that you’ll benefit not only from their professional training but also from mine.

Jena's Story

Early in my career, working in an intensive inpatient treatment center for substance use disorders, I noticed a recurring theme among clients:

“I never really fit in.”

“I put on a mask.”

“I just wanted to be loved, but I felt like I had to be someone else to deserve it.”

As my career continued, I heard these same statements from those with complex trauma, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The common thread was a profound lack of unconditional love. This realization has shaped my commitment to creating spaces where people can explore and embrace their authentic selves without judgment.
