Autism & AuDHD
Autism isn’t something that needs to be fixed—it’s a valid, valuable way of experiencing the world. At Little Seed Counseling, we don’t believe in forcing you to fit into a neurotypical mold. Instead, we create a space where your unique needs, strengths, and challenges are honored and understood. Whether you’ve known you’re Autistic for years or are just beginning to explore what that means for you, we’re here to support you—helping you navigate life in a way that feels true to who you are.
Honoring neurodivergence, empowering your journey.

Our Approach
At Little Seed Counseling, we take an affirming and connection-centered approach to working with Autistic clients. We honor your unique neurodivergent experience, offering support and accommodations that meet you where you are. Our goal is not to change who you are, but to create a space that celebrates your identity and provides tools to navigate life in a way that aligns with your natural way of processing. All of our offices can be customized for your sensory experience. We have tools to increase or decrease sensory input. Here, you are seen, valued, and supported—just as you are.

Why Do We Say "Autistic" Instead of "Person with Autism"?
At Little Seed Counseling, we use identity-first language ("Autistic person") because many in the autistic community prefer it. Autism is not something separate from a person—it is an inherent part of their identity, just like being artistic or athletic. Identity-first language recognizes and affirms Autism as a valid neurotype, not a disorder to be distanced from.
That said, we know that language is deeply personal. We always honor each individual’s preference when talking about their identity and experiences. If you prefer person-first language ("person with autism") or another way of describing yourself, we will respect and use the terminology that feels right for you. Our goal is to create a space where you feel seen, valued, and supported in a way that aligns with your identity.
What about AuDHD?
AuDHD refers to being both Autistic and ADHD—a combination of neurotypes that can create a unique blend of strengths and challenges. While Autism and ADHD have overlapping traits, they also bring distinct differences in processing, energy levels, and social interaction.
Autistic individuals often thrive with structure and predictability, while ADHD can bring a need for novelty and spontaneity. Sensory sensitivities, executive function struggles, and social energy levels can vary widely, making self-understanding and support essential.
At Little Seed Counseling, we provide affirming care for AuDHD individuals, helping you navigate both neurotypes in a way that honors your unique experience. Whether you need support with emotional regulation, executive functioning, or sensory overwhelm, we’re here to help you embrace your neurodivergence and build a life that works for you.
